I have never trick-or-treated in my WHOLE life. This Halloween, my friend and I went "trick or treating" at 4-5:30 (too early for trick or treating, I know). We were raising money for an event that UNICEF and our school club teamed up on. All the proceeds go towards the vaccines fees. The medicine is primarily for mothers who have tetanus (which cause stomachaches and possibly death, according to Wikipedia. Thank you, Wikipedia- slight sarcasm there). Door-to-door is, to be honest, scary. My friend got scarred for life (not really). Sure, we did get rejected a couple times, but most houses were empty because the owners had not returned home from work. By now, I'm sure most of you were thinking "Well why did you go door-to-door at 4?" To answer that question, I had signed up to volunteer at my church to host games with kids and hand out candy, which starts at 6:15 (20 minute drive from house to church). Anyways, we collect a lot more money than we expected. Drum roll please.......
We raised $34.84!!!!!
That is a huge accomplishment for someone who never went door-to-door even once. And...I don't think I plan on doing it again (like I said before, it was scary). Well that was the story of my Halloween this year. Mind sharing yours?
